Full Moon over Weinheim Castle: multispectral photography II

Here today shots of the full Harvest Moon over Windeck castle here in my hometown Weinheim Germany. Shots were done in full spectrum mode (i.e. mainly infrared) and in reflected ultraviolet using Baader-U filter. Lens used was my UV-Nikkor 105mm quartz fluorite lens. Light source was moonlight resp. the castle lighting system. All shots were done at approx. f8. No later whitebalancing was done, pictures straight out of the camera.

Full moon is always special and first I was sad to see all the clouds, but then it turned out quite nicely and all that drama got nicely visible.

Flower Full Moon in reflected ultraviolet (UV) photography

Today is the spring full Flower Moon, the last Supermoon in 2020, which I have shot today in some foggy conditions in reflected ultraviolet photography using a special XNUV and the Baader-U UV filter. Lens was my very special 800mm LDM-1 KATOPTARON mirror only lens on my multispectral camera.

Indeed, the moon has UV reflectance and it can be recorded using proper equipment, which makes it nicely visible.

Scorpio Supermoon in reflected UV (ultraviolet) light photography

Today a shot of the Scorpion Supermoon as of 11-14-2016 in reflected ultraviolet photography using my "work horse" UV filter, the Baader-U filter. All shots were done at f8. Lens was a rather rare LDM-1 800mm mirror only lens.

Blue Moon over Castle in reflected ultraviolet (UV) photography

Today is a 2nd full moon within the same month, a "Blue Moon", which I have previously shot in reflected ultraviolet photography using my "work horse" UV filter, the Baader-U filter, and then superimposed to a normal night light shot of our castle here. Lens was my CERCO 94mm quartz flourite lens. All shots were done at about f5.6.
