Rudbeckia hirta Stereo Butterfly Vision

This is about a Rudbeckia hirta flower shot in human vision and (simulated) butterfly vision.
I'm always amazed about the differences in our human perception and how that very same flower would look like if seen through insects eyes (butterflies in that case).

Sanvitalia (Creeping Zinnia) 3D Stereoscopic Butterfly Vision

Here a test shot of a Creeping Zinnia "Sanvitalia procumbens" flower, using a 2 shot stereo method with my UV-Rodagon 5.6/105mm lens. This is for cross eye viewing.

First some visible light shot (actually that was filtered out using the Baader UV/IR Cut filter and the rest setup was the same, to make sure I'm not seeing UV induced visible fluorescence):

Sanvitalia is difficult to bring out the UV pattern, as that one happens much deeper in the UV region as with other flowers having that.

Bidens Butterfly Vision 3D Stereoscopic - 2shot Method

Here a test shot today with a [Bidens ferulifolia flower. This time using a different 2 shot stereo method. This also is for cross eye viewing.

The following shots now uses the UV-Rodagon 105mm with even higher resolution, 


so even that fuzz on top of that flower gets visible in 3D: 




This method obviously delivers much higher resolution as two full size images are being used, but works only with static objects of course.
