Today about some of my works being used with my permission by the Museo de Ciencias Universidad de Navarra, Spain soon visible in their forthcoming exhibition "Colour: An Explosion of Science" October 8, 2026 until February 7, 2027.

Their idea was to show especially children how the flowers have developed a strategy invisible to us how to efficiently interact with bees and butterflies using reflected ultraviolet (UV) light.
They chose to use my images of attractive flowers, like Rudbeckia, Zinnia and Gazania, which were shot by me in visible light, in reflected ultraviolet light and using my special filters to simulate bee and butterfly vision.

All those flowers have outer petals which strongly reflect UV around 365nm, whereas its center parts are quite darker, reflecting around 365nm, hence forming invisible to us humans UV nectar guides for UV seeing insects. This is all invisible to us humans, but clearly visible to bees and butterflies, and all this will be nicely visible to the visitors at the Museo de Ciencias Universidad de Navarra.
